Getting up each morning was a joy here. The decor in my room was beautiful and the shower worked perfectly. I always had plenty of hot water and I enjoyed that. After my meetings, I would to the fitness center and have a good work out. Then after dinner, I would swim in the durham hotel heated pool. Our taupo accommodation was taken care of so now we just had to figure out which activities we were going to do. There are so many to choose from that it was not going to be possible to do all of them in a few days. Sky diving and bungy jumping were definitely on the list, we also wanted to go white water rafting and jet boating. Apparently the jet boat ride is a must do as they take you through some pretty crazy rapids at very fast speeds and you get absolutely drenched which sounds like pretty awesome fun if you ask me.

My sister has lived in Colombia (not spelled Columbia) for a few years and she really likes it. It is a long flight for me, but I try to visit her as often as possible. Recently, I went to help her find a new apartment since her lease was up on the one she was currently living in. We must have looked at twenty medellin apartments and they were all fabulous. She had a hard time deciding which one she wanted, but she finally chose the largest one. She is hoping to be there for many years so she will need all of the space she can get.

I’ve got a bit of holiday I need to use up before the end of the financial year and I’m trying to decide the best thing to do with it. I did consider just spending the week at home sorting out a few things around the house and generally relaxing, but then a colleague suggested I look at a last minute cruise.
