Getting Advice from Experienced Authors
I didn’t want to let my publisher know that I was having a hard time writing a simple book on guitar practice tips. I was a talented and famous guitarist. Telling other people how to do what i do should have been simple. The problem was, I didn’t want a dry book that read like a washing machine manual. Putting into words the passion behind what I do is very hard. I contacted my agent, who put me in touch with other musicians that had written similar books. I spent the first week of the project not writing, but interviewing other musician/authors, asking for their advice.
